Oscar De La Hera Gomez and Mar Gomez Castillo founded Delasign in 2016, enabling Oscar to legally collaborate with the Museum of Modern Art on the Illusion Spinner, Ambi Chopsticks and Holders he had created during his studies in the MFA Products of Design. It is thus a privilege to welcome you to our company where, together, we hope to meet the highest of your expectations with our dedication, talent and service.

Our aim is to provide an innovative platform for artistic excellence and autonomy, allowing minorities to create high-quality work for clients and for themselves to share with the public. To this end, we have been carefully documenting our process to improve operational efficacy, and have made it available as open source to benefit the industry.

Consequently, we have become a respected company with a devoted team of experts, enabling our customers to reach their objectives quickly and efficiently. Moreover, we have received awards and praise from major media outlets, and our published material has been seen by a wide audience, enabling them to create remarkable work in a timely manner.

Being an experienced leader, share your opinion on how the adoption of modern technologies has impacted the sector. How has your organization incorporated such technologies into its daily operations?

It is essential to adopt technologies that meet your needs and keep your internal services up-to-date to ensure that they are built in the most efficient, fast, and latest ways; this guarantees that you are offering something that is well-crafted and provides value.

Additionally, in the past year, we have documented our progress and findings on our blog, which not only helps our clients understand our work and the benefits it brings them, but is also open source and aims to advance society’s understanding of product development.

I strongly believe that it is vital to acquire the fundamentals correctly before venturing into more intricate and complex advanced technologies. Our efforts are concentrated on the most up-to-date trends in digital product creation to ensure that we deliver the highest standards to our customers, as inefficiencies cost the world an estimated $300 billion annually, with 61% existing on the backend.

What initial challenges did you and your organization face, and how did you drive your organization to sustain operations?

The greatest challenge that we faced as an organization was making sure that we delivered the highest quality to our clients in a cost-effective manner that guarantees that they meet their objectives and see a healthy return on investment.

The way we do this is by bringing in the best internal resources and hiring best-in-class freelancers from our network, with the philosophy of providing the right resource for the right task.

What would be your advice to budding entrepreneurs who aspire to venture into the industry?

I believe this article by Scott G should be read, and to be remembered across time. Particularly ‘You should be able to walk into a room and believe you could overpower, outrun, or outlast every person in the room.’

To this, I would add focus on your physical and mental health, and stamina and ignore those that tell you it’s not possible. Cut drugs and those that consume them out of your life at all costs; go for a run every day and focus on your evolution.

Reminded by my friend Adam Turnbull, it is more important to be the person you desire to be than to be with people you think you should be with. Steve Jobs’ famous saying, “Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish,” serves as a reminder that the journey to entrepreneurship is challenging, so it is essential to start each day with the eagerness of a beginner and the drive to be the person you want to be.

How do you envision scaling your organization’s functions and offerings in 2023 and beyond?

The way we scale functions is by teaching each other the skills that we have so that collaboratively, we can execute rather than placing the weight on a single individual. It also helps us empathize with what someone else is doing, and not request outlandish things from each other.

The maximum scale that we will ever reach is 25 individuals, as excellence is limited and high performance is difficult to scale past a point. I reflect on world-class sports teams like Real Madrid, whose squad is limited to 25 of the best players on the planet.

What is your opinion on the future of the industry concerning changing customer preferences due to advancements and innovative services?

I firmly believe that the future of the industry involves the same problems that we face today and arguably, that we have faced for decades before I was born.

Too often, companies and individuals rush to executions and discuss scaling before they have identified an equitable solution with a well-defined audience.

Delasign strives to deliver cutting-edge technologies and solutions that meet the requirements of different customers, communicate effectively, and generate a return on investment. This can be challenging, as the solutions must be customized to solve the customer’s issues and be comprehensible.

To guarantee success, Delasign devotes effort to precisely define the problem through customer interaction and testing of prototypes. With a well-defined plan and implementation, the company can then expand to meet larger demands, ultimately delivering a satisfactory solution.
