Key Background:

At CES 2025, ASUS unveiled its new Vivobook 14 and Vivobook 16 models, featuring the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon X chipset. This marks a strategic shift for the company, as it moves away from traditional Intel-based processors and embraces Qualcomm’s advanced technology. The new Vivobooks are designed to deliver superior performance, efficiency, and AI-driven features, making them ideal for both work and entertainment.

The Vivobook 14 and Vivobook 16 are equipped with the powerful Snapdragon X processor, complemented by 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. According to ASUS, these upgrades result in a 44% performance boost over previous Vivobook generations. Additionally, users can expect impressive battery life, with up to 19.8 hours of use on a single charge, making these devices suitable for long hours of productivity or media consumption.

Both the 14-inch and 16-inch models feature a 60Hz display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels, providing a clear and vibrant viewing experience. A standout feature in these laptops is the “AI Camera,” which automatically detects when the user is away from the screen. The camera can dim the display to conserve battery or lock the device for enhanced security, reflecting ASUS’s commitment to integrating AI into its hardware.

The Vivobooks are also designed with extensive connectivity options, including two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, an HDMI port, and an audio jack, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of peripherals and external devices.

In addition to these consumer-focused laptops, ASUS introduced two new enterprise models—the ExpertBook B5 and B3—featuring Intel Core Ultra Series processors, up to 64GB of RAM, and a host of security features for business environments. The ASUS Vivobook 14 and Vivobook 16 are available for pre-order at prices of $700 and $750, respectively.
