Let us learn more about their journey:
Nicholas Subich: Empowering Financial Growth
Nick Subich started his journey in the financial services industry at Lincoln Financial Securities before he transitioned to LPL Financial in 2020. Originally, he is from the Johnstown, PA, area and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance and Economics from Lock Haven University.
During college, he balanced academics with being a student-athlete and earning his commission as an Army Infantry Officer in the PA Army National Guard.
His commitment to community service is reflected in his role as Company Commander of Bravo Company 1/109th IN in Williamsport, PA, and through his active participation on the Murrysville Library Board and as President of the Murrysville Parks and Recreation Foundation Board. He lives in Murrysville, PA, with his wife Regina, sons Anthony and Arthur, and their two dogs, Conan and Caroline. In his free time, he enjoys family activities, spending time outdoors, and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers.
What motivates him in this sector comes from his unique ability to make a lasting impact on an unlimited number of individuals. The knowledge that there is always more work to be done, more people to assist, and new challenges to overcome drives him to continually push forward.
This sense of purpose, knowing that his efforts contribute to improving the lives of others, is what inspires him every day. Under his leadership, YTS has achieved significant growth, increasing its managed assets from $85 million to over $1 billion. This success highlights his strategic vision and steadfast commitment to delivering exceptional results for our clients, advisors, and team.
Nicholas Frazetta: Transforming Challenges into Opportunities
As a COO at YTS Wealth Management, Nicholas Frazetta’s most challenging task was figuring out how to integrate, transition, and successfully operate a 450 million book of business that they purchased in 2023 in less than a 6-month period. Taking a book of business with no internal processes and cultivating a 100% increase in revenue, as well as organic referral growth, was a big accomplishment for him and his team.
He believes that having a positive and energetic personality with the mindset of doing whatever it takes for your clients is essential for a successful financial advisor.
YTS Wealth Management: Vision for Client-Centric Financial Solutions
In 2019, Nicholas Subich founded YTS Wealth Management with a clear commitment to its success. Since then, it has grown beyond its Pittsburgh roots, expanding nationwide with offices in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia, and now serves clients in 25 states.
In 2023, Nick Frazetta joined as a partner, bringing his expertise and vision to help drive our mission forward. Together, they aim to enrich lives across the country, with a strong commitment to service and a focus on making a lasting, positive impact on future generations.
At YTS Wealth Management, their clients come first. They are dedicated to safeguarding clients’ financial futures, addressing challenges with unwavering dedication, and providing support at every stage of life’s journey. Their vision is to redefine wealth management by prioritizing personal relationships over digital detachment, a mission that sets them apart in an industry trending toward remote interactions and automation.
Now managing nearly a billion dollars in assets, they offer comprehensive solutions for every aspect of clients’ financial lives, specializing in retirement planning. Also, their services include asset management, financial planning, insurance management, and tax preparation, all seamlessly integrated into a single financial platform.
Ensuring Open Communication
Nicholas Subich believes that staying connected with employees and nurturing open communication is essential for a thriving workplace. For him, this means holding a monthly strategic leadership meeting with his department heads.
These sessions are dedicated to reviewing their progress, addressing any challenges, providing necessary feedback, and ensuring they have the resources they need. It’s also a chance to align on where they currently stand and where they are heading as a company.
Beyond these strategic meetings, he prioritizes regular one-on-one check-ins with his team to offer personalized support and feedback. He believes in the importance of training and developing every individual within the organization and maintaining transparent communication.
He is committed to being open about company decisions and celebrating both professional achievements and personal milestones. Whether it’s buying a house, welcoming a new baby, or any other significant event, he recognizes that what’s important to his employees is important to him.
To strengthen his team bond, he organizes quarterly outings, ranging from golfing and clay shooting to various team-building exercises. These activities not only offer a break from the usual routine but also help them connect on a more personal level.
Enriching Core Values and Company Culture
Subich’s core values, shaped by his military experience, include loyalty, respect, honor, integrity, and a commitment to ethical, legal, and moral principles. He is always ready to embrace new ideas, even if they require extra work, and he is never afraid to dive in and be an active part of the team.
He is always happy to step in and support any department that needs help or guidance with a positive attitude. By showing up and working hard every day, he set an example that influences everyone in the company, and you can see that reflected in their culture.
Identifying and Developing Talent for Growth and Advancement
Nicholas Subich looks for talent based on more than just experience and skills; he also focuses on their energy, enthusiasm, and who they are as a person. The firm’s culture must have to be enthusiastic, positive go-getters who aren’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and work hard. He focuses on developing talent through our Emerging Leaders Program and prefers to promote from within.
To support growth, he pays for new licenses and certifications and encourages innovative ideas to evolve our departments. He asserts, “Our culture is all about continuous improvement—if you’re not growing, you’re falling behind.”
Difficult Decisions & Decision-Making Process
When making decisions, Nicholas Subich focuses on three key factors:
- The impact on my team and employees.
- The effect on our clients.
- How quickly we need to act.
He makes sure to involve his team in the decision-making process to ensure they are all aligned and that no details are overlooked.
Nurturing New Ideas
At YTS, Nicholas Subich embraces innovation and acts swiftly on new ideas. He adds, “Our culture is all about growth and evolution, constantly adapting to industry changes and discovering new ways to operate.”
His team comes from diverse backgrounds, with a range of life experiences and industry expertise, which fuels the team’s creativity and drives organizational success.
Building and Maintaining Client Relationships
Subich and Frazetta focus on “who they are and what we can do every single day to make sure we are putting them in the best position possible.” Meeting with clients 4 times a year, they have developed a great understanding of what is important in their lives and what their goals are. This has allowed them to develop amazing relationships with all of their clients across the country.
Strategy to Handle Clients
Nicholas Frazetta believes Emoney and LPL enhanced trading tools are the most effective tools for managing client portfolios. Meanwhile, ethics are at the forefront of everything they do. Always putting the client first and doing what is in their best interest 100% of the time allows them to ensure they are always compliant across the board.
They handle clients by making sure that they are fully informed and educated on all investment decisions that affect their portfolios. Focusing on the client’s goals and what they need to do to accomplish them eases any concerns and further objections.
Inspiration and Work-Life Balance
Frazetta maintains a healthy work-life balance as he says, “I love what I do daily, which is part of how I balance life and work. Outside of work, I enjoy exercising and spending time with family and friends.”
Also, he advises practicing discipline in your everyday life, while he adds, “You have to be willing to go above and beyond for your clients and people, not just when it is convenient,” to those who are aspiring to become a CEO or senior leader.
