Jetstar is Relaunching its well-liked international service from Brisbane to Bangkok

“In the 20 years that Jetstar has been operating, this is our 20th route to Brisbane.”
Later this year, Jetstar will launch direct service to Bangkok from Brisbane for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic. The low-cost carrier declared on Friday that it would reopen the route, offering discounted tickets starting at $205.

As international airline routes out of Brisbane return to levels almost identical to those prior to the pandemic, Brisbane to Bangkok flights are scheduled to start on December 13, just in time for the Christmas holidays. Prior to the pandemic, Brisbane had 33 international destinations; it now only serves 32.

Steph Tully, CEO of Jetstar Group, stated that she anticipated “this new route to be incredibly popular.”

“In our 20 years of flying, this is our 20th route to Brisbane. We’re focused on providing our customers with more new routes and new aircraft on the way.”

It occurs barely one week after Jetstar, for the first time in fifteen years, reopened its Sydney to Osaka service. According to Jetstar executive manager of customers Jenn Armor, “Australians’ love for Japan continues to grow and the strength of the Australian dollar against the yen means it’s incredibly affordable right now.”

“Due to high demand for our current flights, we are launching our third direct service from Australia to Japan in the last six months, with the second destination being Osaka.”Osaka, the culinary epicenter of Japan, offers fantastic night markets, street vendors, and Michelin-starred restaurants to Australian tourists.
